A congratulations is in order!!! Sophomore James Mohn won 2nd prize this past weekend at the 2017 Young Artist Piano Competition at Texas State University. This is a very prestigious competition and a huge accomplishment. Congratulations, James!!!
Get ready to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary! Clavier-Werke is planning a super fun Open House on Sunday, November 13th from 1:00 to 4:00pm at our West Lake location — 1000 Westbank Drive, Suite 6a, 78746. We will be joined by Silly Sparkles for awesome balloon art and face painting. There will be prize giveaways, free mini lessons, teacher and student performances and much more!! Clavier-Werke School of Music is hosting a unique performance by Dr. Russell Reed of Debussy’s Douze Etudes. These etudes are rarely performed as a complete set and this event is even more special as it will take place on the 100th anniversary of their publication.
Based in Austin, Texas, pianist, composer and teacher, Dr. Russell Reed has received numerous awards and honors. In May of this year a young Turkish duo won a international four-hands competition in Milan, Italy playing his duo “Little Suite.”
The performance will take place at the University United Methodist Church, 2409 Guadalupe Street, 78705 on June 26th at 2:30pm. All ages are welcome. Admission for this event is free.
