The ADMTA Whitlock Theory test is coming up on Saturday, February 16th. Clavier-Werke will be sending over 65 students to UT for the testing. Students with a score of 90 or better receive a medal at the end of the year… doesn’t Miles look great wearing his? Please wish our students the best of luck!
Did you say Master Classes?
Hey everybody! Miles wants to make sure you all remember that the week of November 5th is Master Class Week. Remember, Master Classes take place instead of the private lessons and labs. These classes are like a dress rehearsal for the recital. Your child will learn what the recital will be like, etiquette and rules, and will perform their recital piece. Attendance is generally required even if your child is not participating in the recital — these classes are a learning experience and very worthwhile for our students! =D
Fabulous performance!
Check out this great performance by Kevin Yu at the May 2012 recital. Kevin had previously received 1st place for his grade level at the ADMTA Solo Contest in April. What an achievement! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFqpD6leSmU
Students recently received the Clavier-Werke Events Letter from their teacher. If you haven’t already, please take the time to fill out the form and have your child set goals for daily practice and performance throughout the year. Setting goals for the year ahead of time helps motivate students to stay dedicated and active. Also, students who meet their practice requirement for the year will be rewarded with a trophy at the May recital!
